We are Gyeongsangnam-do fire service headquarters dreaming and trying to create a safe city together with you residents.
With 1970 revision of the Government Organization Law, the city of Seoul and cities under the direct control of the central government were converted to autonomous fire fighting system centering around broader self-governing bodies and other cities and districts(gun) has been operated temporarily in a two-tier system of national and autonomous fire fighting carried out by the government considering local finance until the time set by Presidential order.
As the Government Organization Law was revised in May 31, 1991, Fire Fighting Law and Local Government Act were revised, fire fighting was unified to the responsibility of cities and districts and on April 10, 1992, fire service headquarters were installed to each province altogether and the broader fire fighting system was settled until now.
Accordingly Gyeongsangnam-do installed fire Service Headquarters on April 10, 1992 and integrates, commands, controls, manages and operates all fire fighting administrations in our province as well as various fire, Rescue and EMS.
