Volunteer FF Unit(Volunteer Fire Fighting Unit)

Volunteer Fire Fighting Unit consists of volunteers among residents of the area to support fire fighting operations of Chief of Fire Service Headquarters or Fire Station based on Fundamental Fire Fighting Act and Gyeongsangnam-do Volunteer Fire Fighting Unit Installation Ordinance.

Volunteer Fire Fighting Unit is a part-time service and mobilizes to help fire fighting operations when it recognizes or is notified fire, Rescue and EMS and other disasters(mountain fire etc.), and if necessary, it watches at fire fighting office(during the period vulnerable to fire and preliminary alert period, etc.), mainly serves for securing mobilization path of Fire Fighting and publicity activities of fire prevention, etc. In addition, it also carries out voluntary service activities of helping needy neighbors such as households headed by boy and girl and the aged living alone and visiting social welfare facilities.
